Senior Attorney Atila Buyukmurat
Atila was Born in Gaziantep, Turkey in 1943. After graduating from Izmir Army High School in 1961, he entered the Army Academy. In 1964, he joined the Turkish Army as an engineer officer. He was a commander in Diyarbakir, Istanbul and Kayseri. In 1974 while working for the army, Atila Buyukmurat graduated from Istanbul University Law Faculty.
During his career, Atila Buyukmurat was also trained in many other fields including leadership, public relations, and English as a secondary language
In 1978, he was relocated to the capital city Ankara to work for the Turkish General Staff as a press and public relations adviser. He held this position for two years. He then received first place in a test to become a labor examiner officer. He worked in this position for 9 years in the Defense Ministry. He was also the President of the Defense Ministries committee in charge of wage bargaining with the laborunions..
With his final rank of colonel, he proudly retired from the army in 1989. It was then that he decided to establish his own law office in Istanbul. He is a member of the Supporting Modern Life Association of Turkey. He was the president of honor for the association for a short period, which was one of the most important associations of Turkey. Additionally, through the association he has given scholarships to three college students each year since 1998. As an active member of the Gaziantep Cultural Association of Turkey he is involved in administrative activities.
